How the Cable module works

Cable is the campaign's first communication test. Deaf Monkey can see the cable count and active colored light, Mute Monkey owns the manual lookup, and Blind Monkey performs the cut. The important skill is reporting positions consistently before anyone acts.

Verified v1.0.0 instruction

Cut the cable identified by the cable-count and active-light-color lookup in the current manual.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. 01

Freeze the panel and agree that positions are counted from left to right.

  2. 02

Report the total cable count before describing any color.

  3. 03

Report the single active light color exactly as displayed.

  4. 04

Let the manual reader return one cable position, repeat it back, then cut once.

Clues to collect before acting

  1. 1Cable count
  2. 2Active light color
  3. 3Panel orientation

Recommended voice callout

EXAMPLE

Four cables. Active light blue. Counting left to right. Awaiting cable position.

Role plan: Deaf Monkey reports the visible state, Mute Monkey performs the lookup, and Blind Monkey repeats the returned position before cutting.

Common mistakes

  • Calling colors before cable count, which sends the reader to the wrong row.
  • Switching between left-to-right and top-to-bottom numbering.
  • Cutting while the answer is still being repeated back.

Random difficulty slots may also select this module even when its name is not shown in the level setup.

Sources and verification

The public module references are community sources, not developer documentation. Patch-sensitive color/Braille tables must be checked against the current in-game manual after an update.
