BOMBANANA Level 5 Solution & Walkthrough

Level 5 gives the squad 3:00, allows 3 mistakes, and combines Color Slider + Calculator with Slider CHAOS.

What changes in Level 5

This stage adds a continuing CHAOS duty. Assign its owner before touching a defusal panel so the team does not abandon the main solve when the interruption begins.

The named defusal panels can be prepared in advance; open their procedures before the timer begins. Keep one player responsible for Slider while the other two maintain the main clue-answer loop.

Recommended three-player assignment

PLAYER 1

Bomb operator

Own the controls and repeat every proposed action before pressing, cutting, moving, or submitting.

PLAYER 2

Manual reader

Keep the relevant module guide open, reconstruct clue packets, and return one unambiguous action.

PLAYER 3

State keeper

Take primary ownership of Slider and announce any handoff.

Time and mistake strategy

Use roughly the first 22 seconds to identify panels, assign CHAOS ownership, and open the correct guides. Protect about 32 seconds as a submission and recovery reserve instead of spending the entire 3:00 on the first difficult panel.

With 3 allowed mistakes, treat confirmation as cheaper than recovery. A good submit call is: “I have the full answer; reading it back now.” The operator repeats it, the reader confirms, and only then does the operator act.

Evidence-backed Level 5 walkthrough

Level 5 pairs Color Slider with Calculator while Slider CHAOS continues. The verified method is two-stage: solve the arithmetic expression first, then use result parity plus bulb color for the follow-up manual lookup.

  1. 01

Deaf Monkey reads the full equation exactly; Blind Monkey enters the arithmetic result on the calculator keypad.

  2. 02

After the next bulb appears, Deaf Monkey calls the bulb color and Mute Monkey checks the parity/color rule.

  3. 03

Blind Monkey submits the second digit only after the team confirms whether the arithmetic result is odd or even.

What the sources support

Calculator puzzle, parity check, bulb color, Color Slider

The Destructoid page is useful because it documents the Calculator workflow, but its published example and table should be verified against the live manual before copying a final digit. This site intentionally does not turn that possible mismatch into a guessed answer.

Likely failure points

  • Starting a random module before identifying its exact panel and difficulty.
  • Letting two players answer at once instead of keeping one clue-answer-confirmation channel.
  • Dropping Slider ownership during a long lookup or sequence.

Sources and limits

Level 1-5 include source-backed walkthrough notes. Patch-sensitive lookup tables still defer to the current in-game manual when sources warn that patterns may vary.
