Monkey Says is a growing sequence. Each stage repeats the mapped buttons you already stored before adding the button for the newest heated color.
Map the heated color, append the mapped button to your written sequence, then repeat the full stored sequence from the beginning.
How Monkey Says Works

Watch for the newly heated color at the current stage.

Use the current manual to map that heated color to the required button.
- 03
Add the mapped button to the written sequence.
- 04
Repeat the sequence from the beginning, including every earlier mapped button.
Example: Repeat the full sequence
If the monkey shows A, then B, then C, repeat A, then A-B, then A-B-C after each new stage is mapped.
The important rule is persistence: record mapped buttons, not just the heated colors, so the operator can replay the entire sequence after each new clue.
Common mistakes
- Pressing only the newest mapped button.
- Recording heated colors but not their mapped buttons.
- Letting two players call different versions of the sequence.
